The company's premises are run and maintained by properly trained, experienced staff as well as partner contractors. We have issued written guidelines on the safety rules which must be followed during construction, service or maintenance works at the company's premises. In case any works need to be carried out in the company's premises, we implement a relevant permit issuing procedure.
There are written professional risk assessments in all of ELINOIL S.A.'s premises. Apart from being obligatory for all employers, a professional risk assessment is one of the most significant tools for the effective management of Occupational Safety and Health.
Emergency and evacuation plans have been prepared for all plants and offices of the company. The aim of Emergency Plans (EPs) is to organize the staff and available resources in such a way as to successfully deal with any emergencies in the ELINOIL S.A.'s plants and offices.
ELINOIL S.A. has comprehensive, state-of-the-art logistics and employs competent human resources, so that it can guarantee timely and safe transport and delivery of the fuel supplied. In order to carry out its transport tasks, the company uses its state-of-the-art tank truck fleet (private use and public transport). All tank trucks have the licenses and certificates set out by the legislation in force as well as all equipment required for delivery of the fuels. All deliveries are carried out by experienced and highly trained staff who follow all safety rules prescribed by the legislation in force as well as by the corporate policy.
ELINOIL S.A. has established a special service for the control of quality and deliveries since 2000; this service is staffed with control inspectors who carry out checks on deliveries in a sample-taking and targeted way, not only checking the observance of the correct delivery-acceptance procedure but also conducting checks and measurements on the tank trucks.
Since early 2019, ELINOIL implements a pioneering and innovative program titled "COMMITTED TO QUALITY", based on which the company BUREAU VERITAS - INSPECTORATE carries out the quality control and sampling of fuels and the company LLOYD'S REGISTER puts its seal on the quality of the ELINOIL supply chain.
ELINOIL S.A., with a strong sense of responsibility and considering the safety of its clients, partners and employees as well as the public health as its top priority, has implemented all necessary measures for the coronavirus containment.
On top of the overall measures prescribed by the competent Authorities, which are already implemented by the company, the ELINOIL Management has prepared a special plan to ensure non-stop operation of its plants. Moreover, it has established a special Management team to manage, coordinate the measures and interact with the employees.
